CHARBEL MAALOUF
“I joined the International School of Choueifat ─ Abu Dhabi in 2002 and graduated in 2012.
After graduating, I pursued a degree in civil engineering with sustainability from Brunel University London. Afterwards, I worked as a site civil engineer intern from 2012 to 2014 in different companies and gained wide experience in this field. In 2016, I launched a start-up called “Sustainable Environmental Technologies (SET)” based in Abu Dhabi. SET aims to develop technologies that help reduce waste for a healthier environment. SET is also dedicated to achieving zero-waste in Abu Dhabi by 2020.
The most important things I learned at school were prioritizing tasks and time management. The skills I learned helped me through my studies at university and afterwards in my career.”
