"I enrolled at ISM in 2001 as a Kindergarten student, and I graduated in 2014.
After graduating from ISM, I attended the University of California, Berkeley, where I studied molecular and cell biology: genetics before graduating in May 2017. During the past year, I have worked in genetics and stem cell labs at the University of Minnesota. Starting this fall, I will be enrolled in Yale University's Biological and Biomedical Sciences PhD program.
The courses, particularly the STEM courses at ISM, prepared me to approach problem-solving in unconventional ways. A lot of what goes into biological research involves trial and error. In the lab, if one method doesn't garner results, you must be able to think outside the box for the subsequent trials."
