On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, SABIS® and ULink College signed a Joint Venture Contract (JVC) that will pave the way for an exciting new project in the People’s Republic of China. The contract was signed, fittingly for our times, in a ceremonial event via video call and marks the start of a joint venture between the two organizations to launch new high schools (Grade 10 to 12) across China that will implement the proprietary SABIS® Educational System™.
ULink Chairman Mr. Xunan Liang, commented: “We are very pleased with our new joint venture with SABIS® which will allow us to build a scalable model that gives students in China access to a world-class curriculum that has been proven successful in 20 countries, on 5 continents.”
For his part, SABIS® President Carl Bistany said: “Today is a historic day that was made possible due to many years of building a deeply-rooted partnership whose pillars are our shared values and strong commitment to bringing a top-quality high school education to China.”
The first SABIS® ULink school will welcome its first cohort of students on a temporary, purpose-built high school in Shanghai in the spring of 2021 until a new state-of-the-art campus is ready in September 2023.
