Accountability of Free Schools

Free Schools – like other state-funded schools – are covered by the statutory requirements (set out in regulations) on collection of performance data.

The School’s performance is subject to the Ofsted Inspection Framework which applies to Free Schools just as it does to regular state schools but Free Schools have more curriculum and teaching flexibility.

Regarding SATs and GCSEs, Free Schools will be required to comply with core requirements, of the National Curriculum Assessments including Key Stage 2 tests but will be free to choose how to deliver their wider, broad and balanced curriculum. SABIS® has well established management systems, resources and expertise to deliver a first rate education to young people by being accountable to the student, parent and the taxpayer.
