SABIS® Participates in Building Future Education MENA 2011
With a firm commitment to improving the standard of education worldwide, SABIS® recently participated in the Building Future Education MENA exhibition and conference “Modernizing Education to Create Tomorrow's Workforce”. Pledging its support to the cause, SABIS® was a platinum sponsor of the Abu Dhabi-based event. This was the second consecutive year SABIS® has provided this level of sponsorship to the conference, held on October 25-26, 2011.
As part of its involvement in Building Future Education MENA 2011, SABIS® President Mr. Carl Bistany presented on The Role of the Private Sector in Enhancing Education. Drawing on SABIS®'s extensive experience in the field of education, he also took part in a panel discussion, Rising to the Challenge of Educational Reform, where he had a chance to share SABIS®'s experiences in public-private partnerships and explore viable options to improve education standards with other panelists.

Given SABIS®'s successful track record in public-private partnership projects in the U.S., U.A.E. and Kurdistan—in schools which are providing high-quality education to students who may not have access otherwise—the organization is involved in pooling efforts among government, business and industry to create an effective and efficient vehicle addressing challenges of modernizing education.
"At SABIS® we believe the basic role of education is for students to be functional and productive in the world in which they live. To provide them the tools which allow them to keep pace with change while remaining functional and productive throughout their lives," commented Mr. Bistany.
This year’s BFE MENA event, which was in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), featured an interactive exhibition floor, plus a full free-to-attend conference. Like last year, SABIS® had a booth at the exhibition and this year it featured meeting areas, IT demos, and listening stations for book recordings.
